Everything You Need to Know Before Booking

Planning an event comes with a lot of questions. Below you’ll find clear answers to the most common questions couples and clients ask before booking The SoundMan DJ Services.

How far in advance should I book my DJ?
Wedding dates typically book 6–18 months in advance. Corporate and seasonal events should be booked as early as possible to secure availability.
How do I secure my event date?
A signed agreement and a 50% deposit are required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due before the event.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations require a minimum of 90 days’ notice. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable depending on circumstances.
What’s included in your all-inclusive wedding package?
The all-inclusive wedding package includes full-day coverage, ceremony and reception audio, professional MC services, premium sound and lighting, wireless microphones, uplighting, and access to the planning app.
Do you offer services beyond weddings?
Yes. We provide DJ services for corporate events, Christmas parties, private celebrations, school events, and community gatherings.
Can we choose our own music?
Absolutely. You can select must-play songs, do-not-play requests, and special moments using our planning app.
What if our guests request songs during the event?
Guest requests are welcome and are played at the DJ’s discretion to maintain the energy and flow of the event.
Do you provide music for the ceremony and dinner?
Yes. Ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner music are all included where required.
Do you provide your own sound and lighting equipment?
Yes. All professional-grade sound systems, intelligent lighting, microphones, and backup equipment are included.
Can you handle outdoor ceremonies?
Yes. Independent power and outdoor-friendly equipment are available for ceremonies and events without nearby power access.
Will you DJ the event personally?
Yes. Every event is personally DJ’d by Deano — no subcontractors.
Are you insured and professional?
Yes. We use professional contracts, reliable equipment, and carry appropriate insurance for peace of mind.
How many events have you DJ’d?

How early do you arrive for setup?
Setup timing is planned in advance and ensures everything is fully tested before guests arrive.
Do you act as the MC?

Yes. Professional MC services are included to guide the event smoothly and confidently.
